Inventory Control In iPassport
Manage your reagents and consumables inventory in iPassport!
iPassport includes fields to record stock title, description, supplier, shelf life, type, category, re-order unit QTY, stock unit, cost, storage conditions etc.
iPassport’s inventory module integrates with the systems supplier module (Link to Supplier Info) which is used to register and evaluate suppliers and vendors.
It is then possible to set up notification periods for expiration warnings. A predetermined team will then receive notifications once the any inventory reached the established expiration threshold.
It is also possible to establish minimum stock levels and which staff should be notified once that threshold is reached.
Reagents are assigned to specific Organizational Units (Link to OUs/ Account Structure), however, it is possible to transfer stock to other OU’s if required.
Stock can be checked in to iPassport when received. This process includes recording essential information such as quantity in stock, expiration date, lot ID, storage location, check in date etc. Once checked in, stock is available for use and conveniently displayed in iPassport’s dedicated inventory tab. iPassport’s inventory tab provides a useful overview of quantity remaining, expiration date etc.It is possible to register use of inventory by checking stock out. Checking stock out allows clients to record how much stock was used, location of use and from lot used. Used stock will be deducted from the total inventory available. It is also possible to destroy stock in the event it expires before it is used. As above, notifications will be issued in the event stock levels reach their predetermined threshold or it approaches it’s expiration date. It is therefore possible to always maintain an adequate level of stock.
iPassport includes a preparation area where details can be recorded within a free-text box and made available to staff with access to that reagent.
The inventory module allows clients to opt into QC for incoming materials. When QC is required, QC Time (days) and sample size can be recorded as part of that item’s full documentation within the system.
iPassport’s reagent and consumables module includes the ability to associate related documentation via attachment and linking engines.
